Why did you choose the University of Pittsburgh?

I chose Pitt because it is home to expert immunologists who are regularly involved in well-funded ground breaking research. Additionally, state of the art research facilities, collaboration with the UPMC hospital system and the presence of specialty institutions such as the Starzl Transplantation Institute and the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute all provide good learning and training opportunities for graduate student researchers. Living in Pittsburgh is affordable and also fun because of all the different entertainment options (sports, art, history etc.).
