Why did you choose the University of Pittsburgh?

I chose the University of Pittsburgh because during interviews I noticed it was a highly collaborative environment with a thriving graduate student community. I also thought the faculty and students were relatable and showed passion for their science. The University also has strong facilities, cores, and resources to conduct any experiment you can imagine. Pittsburgh also offered affordable living where I'm less worried financially and can focus on my studies as well as enjoy activities outside of lab as well.
