Why did you choose the University of Pittsburgh?

My mentor was actually the one who recommended me UPitt, back when I was still working on my Master degree at UPenn. My mentor has collaborated extensively with PIs from the Department of Microbiology at Pitt, many of whom are also in the PMI program. As such, he knows the program well and highly recommended me to apply for Pitt. Following his advice, I went and check out the PMI program myself, and found many PIs whose research work I am very interested in.
